Carmen Amador, Rn
Director of Nursing
Carmen graduated in 1986 with an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Mario Munoz Monroe in Havana, Cuba and began her career at Pity Fajardo Maternity Hospital in the Newborn care unit, Emergency Room department and then Labor and Delivery room. She received her BSN from the Superior Sciences Medical School of Havana in 1996. Carmen became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2000, after moving from Cuba to Miami, and started working in Home HealthCare. Carmen took some refresher courses and passed the Florida Registered Nursing boards in 2010, and began her nursing career in the US providing patient care.
Early 2013 she joined PHS as an Admission Nurse and Case Manager and was then promoted to Director of Nursing and Alternate Administrator in September 2013. In her role as DON she is responsible for the clinical aspects of the agency in both Broward and Miami/Dade. Carmen ensures efficient, smooth and prompt health care services. Carmen is enthusiastic and highly motivated. She brings a high level of patient care experience, communication skills and documentation experience. She trains all clinicians in electronic charting and oasis documentation.
Carmen is always eager to try new experiences and ideas and believes in treating people fairly and assisting patients to regain their independence.
Carmen is PICC Line, Psychiatric Nursing, Wound Care and Wound Vac Certified. She also has received certifications in Oasis, ICD 10 coding, and Case Management.
Maria Grieco, RN
Maria has been in the Home Health industry since 1998 and began her career as a scheduling coordinator after moving to South Florida from New York, where she was the Advertising Operations Manager for the Village Voice newspaper in New York City. She decided to attend Nursing School as a second career.
After graduating from Broward Community College in Davie, FL, in 2005, she began her nursing career as a visiting home health nurse, moved on to become a Director of Nursing in 2009 and in 2014 secured her position as Regional Administrator for Principle Health Services with overall responsibility for both the Broward and Miami-Dade locations.
She believes every patient should be treated with respect and dignity and accepts nothing less from her staff. “Every patient should be looked upon as someone’s mother or father, and they should be treated the way you would want your parents to be treated.”
In addition to her nursing degree, Maria holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts and Business from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY.
